Lumatek Digital Two-Way HPS/MH Ballasts
- When gardeners upgrade to a Lumatek Digital Ballast, they’ll see the benefits instantly!
- From their increased efficiency to their increased lumen output, digital ballasts truly are the next big leap in indoor gardening technology.
- Compared to traditional magnetic ballasts, Lumatek Digital Ballasts lose less power from outlet to lamp, provide light at a far more stable level, start up faster (full light in under one minute!), & reduce the noise a system generates by running silently.
- These low-weight ballasts are internally RF-shielded to minimize electrical interference, they produce far less heat than their traditional counterparts, & short-circuits trigger a power cutoff as a safety measure.
- aluminum case with cooling fins.
- All Lumatek Digital Ballasts power both High Pressure Sodium & Metal Halide lamps, with the exception of the HPS-only 750W, 240V ballast (LDB172). These Grow Lights can use HPS to MH conversion lamps to produce blue-spectrum light.
- The Dual 600W/240V ballast (LDB169) has two outputs, allowing gardeners the choice of powering one or two lights simultaneously with a single ballast!
- Eight-foot power cord included with all ballasts.
- Our Lumatek ballasts feature the common cordset outlet. It is compatible with the Sunleaves Standard Cordset, & other cordsets from many manufacturers.
Electronic circuitry enables many safety features.
- If there is an open circuit (bad bulb, unscrewed bulb, faulty wire...), the ballast will turn off.
- If bulb turns off, the ballast will only attempt to ignite for 2 seconds once every 10 minutes until the bulb strikes, rather than supplying continuously high voltage to a bulb that is off. This greatly extends the life of bulbs.
- Bulb power is steadily increased as bulb brightens, & at maximum brightness power output is continuous. This soft start & continuous power output also extend the life of your bulb.
